Jazz Series stamps
Four instruments, four splashes of color, one stamp set. Illustration that has to work at an inch wide.
The brief
A four-stamp series celebrating jazz: piano, strings, brass, and saxophone, each rendered with a burst of paint behind it. The challenge with a stamp is scale, so every illustration was tested at print size on an envelope before it was finished.
